What is Pillar?

Pillar is a personalised coaching app that uses AI to create a training program tailored to your specific needs and goals. Using the Pillar app simplifies your training and allows you to make progress more effectively.

How does Pillar work?

Download the Pillar app and answer some questions about your age, experience level, current training and goals, and Pillar will create you a unique training plan. You will be able to use Pillar to track and keep log of your training sessions. You can link your Garmin or Strava account to allow each of your training sessions to be automatically recorded within the Pillar app.

What level of fitness do I need to be to use Pillar? Does Pillar suit beginner cyclists?

Your Pillar training program will adjust based on your level of fitness, though we recommend people have some familiarity with cycling before they start using Pillar.

Do I need a power meter? Do I need any special equipment?

You don't need a power meter, although it may be useful. The basic equipment you'll need to use Pillar is a bicycle (as your sessions can be completed out on the road) and a device to record your activity such as a phone, watch or computer. However, a turbo trainer and a heart rate monitor, as well as any other relevant accessories will only help strengthen your experience within the app.

Where can I download the app?

You can sign up for the Beta program via our homepage. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to download Pillar.

What is the Pillar community?

Pillar has gathered a group of athletes from around the world with similar training goals and a desire to help each other. Our small team of world-class coaches, former professional athletes, and sports scientists are also active participants in the Pillar community, sharing their experiences, offer recommendations and answering questions regarding fitness and nutrition. The Pillar community is active through our private online Facebook group and online events.

How does Pillar track my activity?

When you have linked your Garmin or Strava account to Pillar, our app will automatically record your progress from different training sessions, using heart rate and power data. You can also add data to the app manually.

Does Pillar keep my data private?

All Pillar activity is GDPR-compliant and completely privacy-safe.

I signed up for the beta programme. When will I receive my invite to join the programme?
